How to transfer a domain from 1&1

Transfer a .it domain from 1&1

In order to transfer a .it domain you have to:

• check the domain status (the status must be ok)


• have the Authorization Code (Auth-Code)


• follow the online procedure

If you don’t know the Auth-Code you can recover it following these steps:

1. Login to the Customer Area 1&1 with your credentials.


2. Under Domains & Web Space click on 'Domains'.


3. Select the domain you want to transfer and click on 'Information'.


4. Copy the Auth-Code that is in the last row of the panel containing the information. This code should be communicated to Register.it at the time of the transfer.

In order to transfer a .com, .net, .org, .eu, .info domain or in every other extension you have to:

• unlock the domain


• recover the Authorization Code (Auth-Code)


• call the number 035 630 5561 or fill in the online form

1. Login to the Customer Area 1 & 1 with your credentials.


2. Under Domains & Web Space click on 'Domains'.


3. Select the domain of your interest, and then click on 'Information'.


4. Unlock the domain by clicking on 'Unlock domain'.


5. Select the 'Unlock' option and click on OK.


6. You will read the message “operation completed”. Click on back home.

How to recover the Auth-Code

1. Login to the Customer Area 1&1 with your credentials.


2. Under Domains & Web Space click on 'Domains'.


3. Select the domain you want to transfer and click on 'Information'.


4. Copy the Auth-Code that is in the last row of the panel containing information.
