  • Who can register a .eu domain?

    Presence in the European Union or in Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway.
    No limit to the number of registered domains.

  • Number of characters?

    Number of characters: 2 - 63 (extension excluded)

  • Accepted characters?

    Accepted characters: digits (0-9), letters (a-z) and hyphen (-). The hyphen cannot appear as the first or the last character of the domain name and two hyphens in a row (--) in the third and fourth position cannot be accepted.

    Accepted special characters: the ones related to the languages spoken in the European Union countries.

    Domain names cannot begin with ?xn--? unless indicating an IDN that contains special characters (internationalized domain name)
