DATA PORTABILITY

As of May 25, 2018, the new European Data Protection Regulation (Reg. UE 679/2016 known as "GDPR") is also applicable in Italy. Article 20 of the Regulation introduces the right to data portability, which allows you to receive the personal data you provide to Register.it in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit them to a different data controller.

How to exercise the right of portability:

By filling out the form at the bottom of the page and providing us with your personal details, you exercise your right to portability. This right also applies to automatically generated data for each of our services and products.

How we manage your data and data portability requests:

After verifying your identity and ensuring that you are the person entitled to submit the request, we will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt, or, in particularly complex cases, within a maximum of three months: in this case you will be informed of the reasons for this extension within one month from when we received the initial request. You will always be required to send us a copy of your ID.

You can request Register.it to deliver the data directly to you, or send it to another service provider. In this case, Register.it reserves the right to verify that this is technically possible, since the applicable legislation does not oblige the suppliers to introduce or maintain technically compatible processing systems. We also inform you that the new supplier to whom you wish to send your data does not have the legal obligation to receive them. The data will be made accessible on a server via sFtp access.

You may also be interested to know that data portability does not imply the automatic erasure of data stored in our systems, and does not affect the retention period originally envisaged for the data being transmitted: however, we recommend that you exercise this right before closing your account or withdrawing from the service contract you have entered into with Register.it, to avoid the risk that your data will no longer be present on our systems. Indeed, The data that we will provide to you will be those existing at the time of processing the request and not at the time of acknowledgement of receipt: therefore we invite you not to delete, after the portability request, the data you wish to receive.

If the requested data portability also includes data of third parties and involves the communication of data to a different data controller, you guarantee, assuming all related responsibilities, to have informed such third parties and to be in possession of the necessary consents, where necessary.


DOMAINS

For this type of request, please enter the domain name for which you request portability in the "Information relating to the request" field of the request form.

Within 30 days from the moment of the request you will be given access to a file in machine-readable format containing the data relating to the service for which you requested portability. In this case, the product file will contain the domain header data (owner, admin contact and technical contact).


EMAIL

The portability of the e-mail box can be requested only during the phases in which the mailbox is active, not when it is suspended due to the expiry date of the service.
For this type of request, please enter the e-mail address for which you request portability in the "Request information" field of the request form.

For the purposes of your identification as owner of the right exercised, you will be asked to verify that you have access to the email address you requested for portability.
Within 30 days from the moment of the request you will be given access to a file in machine-readable format containing the data relating to the service for which you requested portability.
In this case, the product file will include the contents of the mailbox currently present on the server.


PEC

The portability of the PEC mailbox can be requested only during the phases in which the box is active, not when it is suspended due to the expiry date of the service.
For this type of request, please enter the e-mail address for which you request portability in the "Request information" field of the request form.

For the purposes of your identification as owner of the right exercised, you will be asked to verify that you have access to the email address you requested for portability.
Within 30 days from the moment of the request you will be given access to a file in machine-readable format containing the data relating to the service for which you requested portability.
In this case, the product file will contain the data entered by the owner during the service activation phase and the contents of the email box currently present on the server as well as the agenda, tasks and contacts entered via the PEC webmail service.


SPID

For this type of request, please enter your Spid username in the "Request information" field of the request form.

Within 30 days from the moment of the request you will be given access to a file in machine-readable format containing the data relating to the service for which you requested portability.
In this case, the product file will contain a summary of all the data you entered during the service activation phase.
